What is Permanent Supportive Housing?

The emphasis of Prop HHH is to fund a loan program for Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH).  PSH units are for individuals and families who are homeless or chronically homeless. PSH is housing combined with services, which may include mental health and health services, drug and alcohol treatment, and education and job training. The emphasis of the loan program is to fund “brick and mortar” projects, not operations or services.

Beginning in Fiscal Year 2017-18 the PSH Program awarded funding to nine housing projects that will provide a total of 615 units, of which 416 will be designated as PSH units.
