Our Five-Year Plan (AKA Consolidated Plan)

We are proud to share our latest Consolidated Plan that outlines our plans over five years.

Covering 2013 to 2017 and in its third year, this strategic plan documents how we plan on applying federal funds to achieve our mission of improving housing opportunities and quality of life for all Angelenos.  The plan was unprecedented in incorporating a public transit element to its housing and community development plans.  In other words, we understand that quality of life is about more than just a roof over our heads.  It’s about quality education, safety, jobs, health and the ability to be mobile through public transit.

The plan presents how the city will maximize four federal grants we get each year by prioritizing projects according to areas with the greatest needs and by leveraging existing resources.  Each year we receive four grants from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

  • Community Development Block Grant
  • HOME Investment Partnerships
  • Emergency Solutions Grant
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS
