Under the City of Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance, there are rent increases that do not require approval, such as the annual rent increase or an increase for additional tenants.

How much can my landlord raise my rent?

Good question! The City of Los Angeles has a Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) that protects tenants from excessive rent increases, while at the same time allowing landlords to increase rent each year by a fair amount.
